A flash of onyx woved through the sparse trees, casually trotting every now and then, before dashing off in a burst of inspiration and speed, only to slow back down to a turtle's pace once again. The flash of color seemed to be enjoying itself, in it's foreign environment, given the way it was acting much like a juvenile; but truthfully, it seemed to be more thrilled with it's aquatic discovery. Water.. water!
The flash seemed to come to a halt at the edge of the snake-like river, where it transformed into a four-legged creature: A wolf. A very large, intimidating she-wolf. Auds perked forth, the vixen didn't hesitate a second longer to launch her sinewy frame into the waters, emitting a raspy bark as she flew through mid-air and landed muzzle-first in the chilly river. Ker-plunk.
It was surprising to see such childish behavior coming from such a large beast that dwarfed it's fellow wolves in comparison. But how else would one be expected to react when they finally came in contact with a body of water that wasn't some loony illusion created by her H2O-desperate brain? Since being expelled from her latest pack for not complying to the Alphess' orders (for she could not stand wolves superior to her) some time ago, Shareen had gone for almost a week without any water (or food, for that matter), and hunger and dehydration could drive even the most stern of wolves to do the craziest of things.
Once she was satisfied with making a fool out of herself in front of no one but the trees, the onyx she-wolf dragged herself onto the bank, shaking herself lazily now that her stomach, which had been empty for a good day or two, was now at least half-full of water. Releasing a contented sigh, the giant now seemed to notice her environment for the first time: There was not much special about it, just a river in the middle of a forest, except there was the odor of several other wolves in the vicinity, all of which seemed to be emitting a disgusting amount of pheromones. Oh. She must have stumbled upon one of those 'hot spots', as Shareen had now come to call it, where wolves wandered around in hopes of finding a mate of some sort. Well, this would certainly prove interesting.. Maybe she'd hang around a little longer than she'd expected to, now, just to see if there was a brute out there that wasn't intimidated of a fae of great size. Yeah, right..
