Pounding the earth, slender legs with gentle paws moved swiftly, and with a purpose.Piercing orbs scanned the terrain and the fae gave a small smirk as she felt the wind blowing across her face.It felt good to be here,to be free,to start a new life.A new life...the words rang through her mind like an old song you couldn't remember the lyrics to.After leaving her old home to be a wanderer, her life had been hell.
Trying to survive on her own, with no help from anyone or anything but herself.Granted,it was easier to take care of one,but she knew small prey like rabbits, mice and the occasional lemming wasn't going to cut it.She was at her prime and of high blood, she shouldn't have to be living off of "scraps".But that was soon to change. She had her own terra now;it was good.Plenty of water,a good amount of food.Protection wasn't that great, but she could live with that.As soon as she gained more pack members.
And this was the place to find them.Friendship Pool. The orange hued fae stopped, and her sapphire orbs searched the horizon, and every area before it for signs of life, other than her own.Seeing no one,she sighed. Her emotionless orbs looked one last time and she sat on her haunches, curling her tail around her in the cold. She looked into the water, and examined her reflection. For some reason it didn't look like her.Like she was missing a part of her.

A few yards away from the so-dubbed 'Friendship Pool,' lounged a rather serene-looking, tri-colored brute. It was quite obvious that he had been dozing for quite some time, but out of boredom or out of actual necessity, it was unknown. However, the former would be much more believable, as the current environment this foreign wolf had surrounded him with seemed to be a little.. lackluster, if you caught his drift. Toke -- as this particular beast was dubbed -- was a little amazed at the lack of similar life this particular area seemed to hold, as he had been wandering for weeks without coming in contact with even one wolven brethren. Ah, it was sad, indeed..
But, though Toke seemed to have been sleeping like a pup, the truth was he was actually quite alert to his surroundings, with auds perked forth and that damp, onyx sniffer twitching to and fro at the variety of delicious aromas of potential prey that he was ironically dreaming of. So, it was no surprise that he was almost instantly alerted of, what was that, another of his kind!? By God, they did exist!
Bi-colored ((OOC: I just noticed Toke is very colorful. xD)) orbs fluttering open, the male propped himself up on his haunches, surpressing a lazy yawn as he surveyed the unfamiliar terrain for the source of the odor. Oh.. right there, by the water. A vix. Studying her, it was a long moment before he bothered to separate his jaws and speak.
You look a little disappointed by something.

ooc::lol =D bic:: Auds immediately perked upon her head, and swiveled as far as they could in the direction of the sudden sound.Lifting her head slowly, she turned and laid a gentle gaze on the male, where the voice had seemingly come from.So she wasn't the only at the pool today.A soft chuckle was emitted from her throt and she turned,to face him completely.Tilting her head, she surveyed him carefully. He had a tri-colored pelt, and was lounging on the ground a few feet away. She was surprised she hadn't noticed him earlier.||Well,well.This godforsaken land DOES have some worthwhile inhabitants.||She stood and placed one paw in front of the other, watching him with natural caution.
Oh..it's nothing really.Just..a bad memory.
She raised an eyebrow, and took a step closer, catching his scent full on as the breeze picked up and encircled her.Her nares flared as she took it in,recognizing it for future reference. She closed her eyes, matching scent to the face she had seen.Memory served purpose in her world, and so did caution.Opening her eyes, she stared at him, waiting for a response from this brute.

Skull tilting to the right slightly as he surveyed the dame -- who seemed to be doing the same -- Toke permitted a smirk to flash across his features, but only for a few short seconds.
I see.
Stretching elegantly, and almost cat-like, across the ground, the brute padded a foot or two closer to the fae, then stopped and settled back into his idle sitting position once he was free from the weeds that had most likely concealed him during her initial survey of the surrounding area. Toke knew she was being cautious, as would any wolf with a sliver of common sense, though he had no intentions of causing any harm. Honestly, he hadn't even counted on encountering another living soul here, thus the reason why he'd chosen it as his temporary resting place. Still, though, he was intrigued by her, even if he refused to reveal it.
Oh, so sorry for being rude. You may call me Toke.
The brute spoke aruptly, once he realized how improper he was being to his new acquaintance.. If he even had the right to call her that yet. Either way, his nose began to visibly twitch again as he inhaled her foreign aroma, olfactory processing every tidbit of information he could pick out of it, which only came to one thing: She was completely unattached. No mate, no pack members.. Just her. Interesting.. But hey, he couldn't talk much, could he? Toke was in the exact same situation, but he still couldn't help but address it.
Just you, huh?

Malo stayed where she was, paws firm as he moved towards her.He seemed trustworthy.
Yes.Nothing too important now..
He hadn't said or done anything to make her think otherwise.Yet.She decided that this being, the first of her kind she had seen in months, was okay to be around. Her muscles relaxed slightly, and some tension lifted off her chest. He was...different from other wolven she had met.Nothing like the ones in her pack growing up.Dome was inclined as he spoke his name, and she gave him hers in exchange.
You may call me Malo.
She looked up,flashing a small grin that disappeared as quickly as it had appeared across her maw.Standing a bit taller, she tilted hs head as he gave a question.Smirking, his aroma was taken in again, and it floated easier through her senses now.Ahh,she could see what he implying. He was like she, alone in this world.Or at least he was at the current moment. She nodded.
Is it that obvious?Oh my..Well,yes,it's true.She gave a chuckle.I've only been here a few weeks,to be honest...Toke.
She added his name, getting used to the sound of it on her tongue.Simple enough to remember, along with his features and interesting smell.Something about it attracted her to him,and she wished to know more about this brute, with no pack. She found it quite odd indeed.

Toke appeared slightly relieved when the dame relaxed before him after becoming quickly adjusted to his presence. Though he was of a more serious disposition, it still tended to unsettle him when others were tense around him, when the brute would never hurt a bone in one's body -- that is, unless they gave him a reason to. That was why his father had always favored him over his other heirs, as he had a keen talent at being able to force the troublemaking pups into submission, whether it be by fright or force. Unfortunately, though, Toke had decided to strike out on his own, and thus, here he was today.
Malo? That's a nice name.
Of course, he didn't state that in a flirtatious way. Toke was too somber to engage in such acts. Not to say he was incapable of love, of course.. But that it was hard for him to fall in it. Poor thing.
Ah, then we're in the same boat then, except I've only been here for a few days myself. However, you're still the only wolf I've come across so far.. It was a pleasant surprise, nevertheless.
Now thingying his head to the opposite side, Toke continued to examine Malo, his dashing azure- and emerald-hued orbs slowly sliding up and down her lithe frame. Yes, she was an attractive vix, but that would be the last thing to escape outside his thoughts. He'd rather keep such thoughts to himself.
((Short.. My muse fizzle out on me, cause I'm eating chocolate. ^^ Mmm.))

She smiled, the compliment towards her name being the first kind thing she'd heard in years, and the last thing she had expected to hear. She chuckled, remembering what it meant.
Thank you.It means 'bad'.
She shook her head,as she laughed at the irony. She wouldn't have expected to hear her name and nice used in the same sentence.Nonetheless, she liked it.It was a welcome change.Though her name suited her fairly well, with her mind on a continuous track of things to get others in trouble, and find entertainment as she sat back and watched.Always the 'innocent little angel' as her parents used to say.At least, before they exiled her...
She shook her head, the memories flooding back all too soon. She refused to lose herself in them, not here not now.
Yes.'Tis quite a welcome coicidence to find each other here. Our kind were't meant to be solitary creatures in this cold world.
Her voice was kind and light-hearted,a surprising change for the fae.Maybe it was because she hadn't seen another wolven in months,or maybe because she really meant it.A deep blue gaze was cast upon the brute.Odd coloring, yes, but he was handsome all the same.Malo's eyes shone, and in a split-second the flash of emotion was gone

Toke's smile quickly began to falter at the fae's response to his compliment, and if he could have, he would have blushed lightly. Instead, a deep but gentle chuckle rumbled from his throat, and he shook his head in amusement.
Too ironic. But, I meant what I said.. It is a nice name, even if it doesn't fit you. Or.. does it?
He chuckled again at his teasing, sinewy tail wagging gently. Toke was enjoying this fae's company already, even if it was a little awkward, as were most first encounters. Still, the last thing he wanted to do was drive her off, because the Gods only knew when his next encounter with another being would be. Which brought up his next question..
So, where do you reside, Malo? Are you just a wanderer like me, or are you trying to formulate a pack of your own?
Curious, bi-colored orbs watched her, awaiting an answer. Either way, it was a win-win situation: If she was attempting to create a pack, why not ask to join? Unless inviting himself appeared rude. However, if she wasn't, why not try creating one together? Not that he would be suggesting anything. It would just be nice to have some company, and a way to hunt other things besides rats and hares. Seriously - he was getting a little tired of the same old thing every day..

She chuckled with him as his words flowed easily through her ears.Giving him a smile, she winked mischieviously.
Maybe it does.Maybe it doesn't.You'll just have to find out, won't you Toke?
An eyebrow was raised, not sarcastically, but with a small flirtatious flair. She didn't normally conversate with other wolven like this, and she was hardly this friendly. But being alone could change a wolf. She liked Toke.He wasn't a bumbling idiot and he had an aire that seemed to command respect. And he gave it back, which she liked.Respect was the basis of a pack.||Woah.Where did THAT come from?||She furrowed her brow in confusion;it was a strange feeling, and the thought had come from nowhere.Shaking her head to clear her mind, she looked back at him,her expression not showing her previous thoughts.
Listening, she smiled again as he asked where she stayed. She wondered if he would join her,she could use the company, especially with the big game living in the Meadows of Joy.She stepped closer to him.If he joined, that'd be a new pack member.Or they could make their own pack. The company would be good, and it was easier than wandering around inviting others. But only if it was a mutual agreement.
No,I actually just claimed a land.I reside in the Meadows of Joy,as Alphess of the Ressurection Pack....You could join,if you'd like.I'd be honored to have you,Toke.
She hoped she wasn't coming off to eager, that was the last thing she wanted.Especially since it wasn't like her.Still, deep inside the depths of her closed off heart,a small glimmer of prayer hoped he would say yes.

A small smile graced Toke's features when Malo answered his tease with one of her own. It was funny, really; he usually donned a more serious disposition around other wolven, but around this fae he just seemed to relax and let his guard down a little. Worst of all, he didn't even know her, except for her name, which meant bad of all things. Still, he'd invest some trust in her. After all, the worst she could do was try to pick a fight with him, right?
And I'd be just as honored to join your pack, Miss Malo.
Another genuine grin spread across Toke's maw, azure- and emerald-hued orbs watching the fae for her reaction. He didn't enjoy making a habit out of inviting himself into other's packs and such, but since the vix didn't seem to mind, the brute wasn't bothered by such a rude act for once. Not to mention it would be nice to be accompanied by such an attractive she-wolf.
Eh? What? Toke frowned mentally at himself, shaking such thoughts quickly from his own mind just when Malo was secretly doing the same. It was ridiculous to be attracted to enraptured by a fae so quickly, but what was that saying? That love worked in mysterious ways? Now that he thought of it, that saying seemed to go hand-in-hand with 'only time would tell'. Yes, it would, indeed..
((Wow. This is a really crappy post. But I just woke up, so gimme some credit! xD))

[[Aww,it's okay!Still good^^]]
She smiled, her heart thumping loudly in her chest. She swore she could hear it and prayed he couldn't as well.Daring to step closer, she paused a foot away from him.Staring into his bi-colored eyes, her own deep blues talked to him.Thank you..She looked, and wondered about his past, his life.Where his future with her would be.||Only time will tell....||The old saying swam through her thoughts like an eagle soaring easily through the sky.And in truth it would. She was glad he had decided to join her,she could use the company and the help.
Looking away, eyes unlocking from her gaze with him,she stared in the direction of of her-well their-new home. She hadn't been this trusting in a long time, but somewhere in her heart and mind she knew he wasn't going to hurt her and she felt like she could trust him a little,at least for now.It was strange;she knew nothing about him except his name and she was accepting him into her home, pack and life. She wanted him in her pack, her home, her life. And her mind raced with questions like ||Why?||.
I would like to show it to you...our home.Would you like to see it?
She smiled, glad to be accompanied by such a handsome male.||Huh?What's going on?What's WRONG with me?||She didn't know what to think;she shouldn't be reacting like this to anyone, she hadn't in so long. She looked off towards their land again, patiently waiting for his reply.

A slightly curious look spread across Toke's features as the fae stared at him for a long moment, then suddenly diverted her gaze, acting as if he hadn't the slightest idea about what was on her mind. Well, he really didn't know, though he had a slight notion that it must be something slightly embarrassing due to the way she was acting. Not that the he-wolf didn't have anything on his own mind; no, he pretty much had the same What-the-heck-is-going-on? thoughts racing through his own mind, and it didn't help when she invited him to go scrutiny their home. What made it so unbearable for Toke, though, was he was raised completely against the idea of love; his sire, who had been the Alpha, had always preached that such trivial emotions only got in the way of things and caused trouble, that it was often the downfall of even the strongest packs, and that he should only take a mate in order to pass on his genes into the next generation. Then, of course, there was his mother's views on love, which were an entirely different story.. For an entirely different time.
I've love to. It'd be rather odd for a wolf to associate himself with a pack whose territory he has never set foot in.
A lopsided smile replaced Toke's inquisitive look as he spoke serenely, though he still felt a little awkward. How, exactly, was he supposed to act around a vixen? Naturally, of all the things his father taught him, he seemed to leave out that lesson.
Well.. Lead the way, ma'am.

Malo nodded as he agreed. It felt awkward,to be alone with another wolven after so long, and a male of all things. Her orbs wandered off again, trying with all her might to avoid his gaze and not look at him.Her parents had taught her that love was a gift, one of the greatest of all,and you should never rush or squander it.They also said to never let go,and never forget it.And that their love for her would burn long after they were gone. So,naturally, being heir to her pack, she had grown up in a very loving and close community, even though she had always been the cut-up.But solitude and barely surviving had made her a little hardened, and to associate herself with others she barely knew or trusted had almost gone completely out of the question. And love had definately been erased from her mind.Until now.
Something strange was going on with her and she hadn't the slightest idea what it was.She was amazed she had even said so much as a word to Toke, yet alone invited him into her home. But once again, the thoughts of a pack raced through her mind and survival became her main priority. As well as getting revenge for the death of her parents and old pack.Feeling a tad embarrassed for ove-thinking the matter, she turned towards home and took a few steps, looking back to see if he followed.
Right this way then,Toke.
And with that, she made her exit.
Aggh!Horribly short.xD
