A howl echoed and birds flapped. Temeraira was taking no chances. The Dragon's Flame pack was perfect for what she needed. Now all she had to do was call for the Alpha. Hopefully that couldn't be to hard. She was risking her life by coming into the territory of a pack without seeking the Alpha on neutral terms first. But Temeraira was to impatient for that. Those sort of things could take weeks and weeks to sort out. Besides, she had been a loner long enough. An exile even. She had skills that almost no one else possessed. And she was hungry. Temeraira looked around and swore in wolf tongue under her breath. She should of hunted before she echoed her summons.
Most of the prey in the area had scattered. Her howl was forceful enough that she had made the prey freak and run off. But her sharp ears - even what she had left of her left ear - picked up on a small scampering noise. Something in the tree. Temeraira jumped off the large rock she had been sitting on and creped silently towards the tree. A short yap and her jaws closed on a small squirrel that had come from the trees hollow. She ate it quickly, tearing out the bones. That would do for now.
She jumped back up onto the rock. Here she would wait for either the Alpha, Alphess or another wolf to show their face. Hopefully not a hostile one. Her howl had been one of peaceful summons, not of anger or of hostility. All she wanted for the moment was a pack to be apart of.

All around, birds flew into the air, taking flight in the hundreds. As they climbed higher and higher into the air, they got smaller and smaller, until they faded away. What would have caused them such a disruption? A howl, a howl that echoed all around, disturbing and scaring all that heard it. The howl was not one full of aggression, but of peace, which was a little shocking. Black ears perked up and twitched slightly as the howl rang in the audits of another she-wolf. The howl she heard was beckoning for her, or for Morker. She however, was closest, so she would be the one to appear before the newcomer first.
One small paw after another, they hit the ground with muffles thuds, the snow falling heavy. As she approached, she stayed her distance, and thought ‘Hum, this female had decided not to wait and decided to barge in did she?’ Under normal circumstances, if this was her old pack, she would’ve attacked the female by now and driven her away… But she knew that right now, that would not be wise. Circling the female silently and unseen, she glanced her over, trained voids seeing all. She was aged, a left ear was missing, one of her paws was scarred, and her senses seemed acute from what she could tell.
She was not going to take the chance yet and be seen, so she did what she did best; climb trees. Up in the tree’s she was able to get a better view on the older female. She knew though, from experience, never underestimate any young or older wolves, for they both had great potential that the other doesn’t. Finally deciding that she would introduce herself she gave a small howl for both the female below her, and her mate.
Jumping down, long and slender black pillars bent as she fell, to cushion her fall. A small black wolf stood before the newcomer as she gazed at her pelt for a moment before straightening up into her Alpha stance. “Tell me this, newcomer.” She said, her tone soft yet full of authority, “Why should be give you an audience, after you decide to come further into the territory without waiting?” She glanced into the females’ voids, her own voids pale gray and emotionless, taking in every detail.
“No, never mind, tell me later. I am Shadow Paw, Alpha Female of the Dragon’s Flame Pack. Now how may I address you, Ma’am?” A slight shiver ran down her spine as a strong breeze swept by, bringing with it even more snow. She despised winter. She had had enough winter in the tundra; she didn’t need anymore of it. As she stood there, she waited patiently for her response. So badly did Shadow want to slap herself, she knew what she had said was the wrong thing to say to this female, but what was done and said, was said. No taking anything back.

~I won't give up...~ Layra still sat watching the pack who owned Delta Bay, she was still depressed and hungry. Loooking at her paws, she saw dried blood and no muscle what so ever. she sat still hoping for the best. "I've always wanted a pack, but I knew... deep down it would turn out as a disaster," she said to her self, "but hopfully: not all is lost." ~even if death is what comes my way~

Temeraira could tell that some other wolf was in teh same area. Hopefully Morker. Temeraira always seemed to get along better with males then she did with females. She didn't even know the name of the Alphess of this pack. That could be bad. But hopefully whoever was watching her could see thats he could hold her own in a battle. Temeraira was not someone you wanted to fight. She stayed still, as if she didn't know that someone was there. Just acting naturally, playacting was something that she was good at. It had saved her life many times. Temeraira knew that any good leader would at least give her the chance to speak, even though she wasn't doing things in the proper way and without a real welcome into these lands.
Her scars alone, even though most of them were covered by her thick fur showed her skill in battle. Something Temeraira wouldn't curse any other wolf with. Suddenly the howl was heard and Temeraira looked straight up at thef female. She knew that trees were often a good vantage point, Temeraira was a good tree climber but not so fond of heights and therefore didn't climb often. Usually finding a better place to hide. Temeraira noticed the way that she held to the tree, in a style that showed that she was an alpha. When the female jumped down, she also noted the strength in her legs and the graceful bending. This could be a rough meeting if there ever was one.Usually she was good with pack leaders but occasionally they didn't understand her.
"I am Temeraira!" She said defiently. One thing Temeraira didn't stand for was at least a slight amount of respect, even from someone in a higher position in her pack. "I come here to ask you and your mate, Morker, if I may become apart of your pack. I have travelled for to long by myself and I believe that I will be a valueable member of the Dragon's flame Clan." Temeraira didn't notice that she used to word clan instead of pack. That was an odd thing that her mate had use to do and she had accidentally picked up on it as well. "The reason for why I came to your lands without previous meeting is simply that I do not have the time to wait on formailty. If someone cannot judge for themselves what a wolf is worth then I see no reason why I need meet in a place of neutrality. I am the last surviving member of the Icefang pack, previously holding the position of Beta, and I come here to offer my skills to your own pack now."
Temeraira didn't care that she was speaking so forwardly and so straight forward to who might soon be her future Alphess. This was her personality. Well, apart of it. And if Shadow paw couldn't see what skill was inside Temeraira then she found no reason why she should join the pack. Temeraira was a skilled and rare warrior and hunter. Why should she go to a place where she would be placed back with the rest?

Pale voids stared intently at the female for some time after she had spoken in silence before giving a nod and bowing her head. She approved greatly and she knew, that she could be a little rough sometimes, even when she didn't want to be. It was a bad habit of hers, for in her old pack in the arctic, you had to chose so wisely, and one mistake of letting a new wolf into the area could be the death of you; especially if they carried disease. "Forgive me, Temeraira." She said, her guard dropping slightly, her stance dropping to something more comfortable. "I am Shadow Paw. Again, forgive, I did not mean to come over so harsh." At least, she meant and she hoped this female Temeraira could tell.
She glanced around as she tried to tell if Morker was coming yet. Pointing her slim muzzle into the air, she parted her jaws and revealed her ivory canines before letting loose a howl to her beloved mate of the newcomer, Temeraira, who wished to join their pack. "As a last survivor, She mused, "I may assume you can very well hold your own, and that you may be a great contribution." Now however, she was talking more to herself than to the other female. 'Very, very great potential. And potential and skill...' she thought to herself, 'is hard to pass up, especially now.'
Once more, she grew tense, her hackles rising. Another wolf was in the area and it took her a moment to realize who before calming once more. This elder female, Temeraira... There was a lot about her, especially her personality which Shadow Paw fund most interesting. "I myself can say I would welcome you, but Morker has final say in everything. I can not act without him. I do hope you understand, and I hope he will be here soon. She glanced down at her small paws and than up to her guest who was not only larger than she. Needless to say, she felt so young, but in her mind, feeling like that was rude.
She dipped her small cranium slightly, another gust of wind ruffled both of the female's pelt slightly. "I must ask though, for I would much rather know by asking, than what I perceive from you and what I can tell from your body. Myself, I assume fighting and hunting is a strong suit, but anything else?" Her tone was curious, and she was very much interested to what she had to say. Also, she was hoping that Temeraira wouldn't take their firsts words to heart, truly she had a good heart, but she had to warm up to you a little first, and she was already growing great respect for her.

When Shadow Paw annocunced her appoligy, Temeraira accepted it gracefully. She bowed her head low in respect and understanding. Temeraira knew that many pack leaders had to firecly protect their land. Especially land like this were they was good protection and food. That was why her old pack had been attacked. They had had the best food sorce in the area and very good protection. But not good enough. Especially not from a major ambush like that. She also understood that new wolves had to be kept out. Diseases, famine and even enimies came from new wolves that had not been annonced beforehand. Even death if they attacked. Shadow Paw had every right to be careful of her. "I understand, Shadow Paw. You must protect your pack lands, as I protect what I hold dear as well," She said formally, more polite then before.
When she mentioned Morker who was obviously her mate, her left ear gave a small twitch. What was left of her left ear that was, which was barely any at all. Everytime someone mentioned their mate recently she had had memories of her mates first attack on her when he had torn off her ear in disapline. Maybe she was having these memories for a reason. She had recently been attacked and forced to kill by a member of the clan who had driven out her own pack. But she hadn't been able to identify the males scent. Unforntunetly. Temeraira would love to get renvenge on those who destoryed her life. But she knew that that was not something she could do without help and she woudl never ask her pack to help her. She woudl have to find those in a similar situation.
"Hunting and fighting are my main attruibutes. Dispite my injuries my hearing, smelling and seeing senses have not been hindred and are quite strong,"She said, trying to think of anything worth noting. "I have not had pups of my own but I am a good pup nurse when needed and I am a good judge of charcter and can tell when a wolve lies to me or is not saying everything needed. Either way, whether Morker deems me able to join or not, my offer of friendship is valuable and when someone losses my trust it is hard to regain. I have been betrayed to many times already."
Temeraira didn't know it this was something that Shadow Paw would deem a good quality but it was imporatint for her to know the truth. She heard a tiny swish in the leaves and knew that there was a mouse down there but even though she wasn't standing on formality it was still rather rude to hunt before the leader of any pack while in their lands and currently an exile and a loner.

Temeraira's left ear had twitched when she had mentioned her mate, and Morker. Shadow Paw took the hint that that was a touchy subject, most likely to be avoided. Listening however, she did not interrupt her for she wanted to know what she had to say.
"Hunting and fighting are my main attributes. Despite my injuries my hearing, smelling and seeing senses have not been hindred and are quite strong. I have not had pups of my own but I am a good pup nurse when needed and I am a good judge of character and can tell when a wolve lies to me or is not saying everything needed. Either way, whether Morker deems me able to join or not, my offer of friendship is valuable and when someone losses my trust it is hard to regain. I have been betrayed to many times already."
Inside her pale and emotionless voids, a flicker of approval flashed through them briefly. This Temeraira, I like her. It would be a great... inconvenience to lose her. I hope he approves. If not, I might actually have to go against him. If he doesn't see her potential, than he's blind. Her thoughts were all over- scattered. The way Temeraira presented herself, and how she spoke... It reminded her of someone, but she could not think of who at that very moment for her mind was foggy.
Black audits twitched quickly, as did her guests'. Both of them had heard the small creatures, and her voids stayed plastered on her before speaking again and than looking in the direction of the rodent. "I give you permission, Temeraira, to hunt any small prey, for now... If you wish." If anything, a few small animals could go in order to keep this female happy, for she would be vital to have. Plus, the longer she could stall her to give Morker time to get here, the better. Shadow Paw didn't want her to get impatient and leave.
Ooc|| Ok, I am going to PM Silent... Tell her to post here :]

A huge black wolf pricked his torn ears. Rips were visible in these powerful hearing devices. His eyes were a deep violet which glinted in the new sunlight. His wide shoulder were grand and controlled his well muscled and scarred legs. His broad muzzle was cut in a long red line. This wolf was beautiful... More Handsome actually. He was an idol.
His claws slid out. Shadow had gone. And he could smell an odd wolf scent clinging in the cool air. He caught a sound of them talking. His mate and the newcomer. He needed to investigate! What if his beautiful Shadow was hurt? He bared his teeth and leaped up onto the limestone ledges from the cool sandy beach. He landed on the swaying grass and bounded towards the chattering noises. But they sounded calm. Perhaps Shadow Paw wasn't harmed... But he had to know wether she was.
Finally, the two wolves came into view and he pushed through the last bushes to the new clearing. He barked gruffly in his arrival and greeting to his mate. But he gazed cooly at the visitor. He didn't sit down. This was a sign of submission and he was the leader here. His violet eyes met Temeraira he flashed them.
"Who are you?" He growled flatly. How would she respond? "I don't remember meeting you and allowing you to come here. No matter. What are you searching for?" He stared at her, looking at her muzzle. Would she reply? Or would she be ignorant. She would have to learn to obey him. He was the one who grasped all power here and Shadow as his mate. He pulled his long sabers back into his mouth but they were still visible. D.amn his teeth. He hoped she wasn't too intimidated by it.

Shadow Paw watched with ease as her mate came into view. He had announced his presence only when he was close. 'So, he is here... finally.' She thought as she gazed at him. Pale and dull voids locked onto colorful and bright lavender hued ones.
"Who are you? I don't remember meeting you and allowing you to come here. No matter. What are you searching for?"
Black audits flicked casually as he spoke. Slender pillars moved quickly, bringing her small body u next to her mate. Her body, so small, looked so frail compared to his large frame and rugged yet handsome look. A small black cranium rubbed against his pelt slightly and looked up at him, "Easy, easy hun." She said in a soothing tone as she watched him trying to cover his canines. "I will let her answer for herself, but I can tell you this Morker, she means no harm to me, to you, or the lands."
Hope. She was hoping that would calm him down a bit. However, she knew how important it was to show ones standing, especially over a new wolf so they didn't get any ideas... She herself probably should have been doing the same, but she couldn't; not to this female at least. An explanation of why, Shadow could not give or say. Maybe it was the whole fact that she had been raised to respect those older than you, especially because of all the information and knowledge they held. 'As long as she doesn't come up with any smart remark... She should be fine. However, Morker has to see her potential for her to have a chance.'
After a small sigh, slender black pillars bent and the small black female was sitting next to her mate. She was not concerned about showing dominance over her, she had established that already and in a way, she felt the two of them respected each other. Well, all three were about to find out what would happen next.

Temeraira noticed that Shadow Paw listened intently to what she was saying. That was good at least. Temeraira knew many others who didn't listen to those below them, thinking that they were inferior and pathetic. Not want their opininon because they were sure that they were right. Not a good quality in a leader. She was also glad that she had not been interupted, it made it so much easier to think and to get everything out in one roll. Temeraira may be excellent with anything physical but when it came to planning and thought she was not always the best wolf to turn to, unless she had past experiances with almost the exact same situation.
Then she was given permission to hunt and was about to when a black wolf showed up. Great. This must be Morker. Just when the timing was the worst. But that was always the way. Whatever was the worst time for her was the best time for everyone else, Temeraira had decided that long ago. When Morkers violet eyes flashed towards her Temeraira raised her head to show that she wouldn't be like other wolves who whould roll over and do pup like tricks in the presense of someone who was of a greater rank them her. Temeraira had a system which ment that respect and honorable greeetings must be earn by what she knew, not what she had heard. Nor was she scared by his teeth. Temeraira was practically scared of nothing any more. He couldn't intimidate her. Her voice rang loudly.
"If I ment harm to you or your mate, or your lands don't you think I would of done it already?" She growled before Shadow Paw had a chance to answer. Her own teeth showed in the process. True, Temeraira made friends easier with male wolves but when she felt that something could go bad and a male was in teh area she suddenly went very alert. As she had said before. She had been betrayed to many times... by males. "As for your eariler question. I am Temeraira, last survivor of the Icefang clan, previously holding the position of top Beta. I come here now to offer my services to your pack, Morker. Shadow Paw trusts me, the question is whether you trust me? If you don't I will leave, but that would be a mistake that you will regret later!"
