She moved quickly,white paws carrying her lightly across the terra as she mde her way towards the center of her lands.Looking back behind her,sapphire orbs searched for the one face she couldn't get out her mind currently-Toke's.It was odd really,accepting this male she barely knew into her home after only a couple of hours.But she felt like she could trust him,even though he seemed to hold a barrier around him.Maybe he was just as confused as she,or maybe it was something else entirely.But whatever it was,she wouldn't bother with it much,at least not for the moment.
Her mind raced with thousands of thoughts,about her past,where she was now,what the future may hold for her.But nothing crossed her confused and unorganzied thoughts more than what Toke thought of her,and how he would like being part of her pack,or extended family,as she was raised to think of them as.She slowed her brisk pace to a trot and soon paused,turning her head and smelling the air to be sure no intruders had crossed in her absence.None had.||Good.||She thought.She wouldn't have to deal with troublemakers at the beginning of her leadership.
She sat down,a little exhausted from the day's activities and waited patiently for Toke to show up.She hoped he hadn't gotten lost,and that he had memorized her scent well enough to follow the short distance.All the same,she worried for him and let out a small howl for him to hear and move towards.||Please show up.||Her heart beat a mile-a-minute and her brow became furrowed in confusion.She was a wreck right now,but she wouldn't dare let it show when he arrived.It went against every fiber of her being,to show such emotion,to care for someone in any way other than mutual tolerance at all.She felt love only for family and close friends,not total strangers.But alas,here she was,heart and mind confused.Toke was different.She felt as if they had much in common,and she wanted to know more about him.
And she had no idea why.
